– Reunião foi com Raí e Ricardo para saber o que acontece dentro do campo, não comissão técnica. Eles enxergam instabilidade, com um tempo bom e outro ruim, e queriam questionar o motivo disso, não para questionar sobre a comissão técnica – falou Sidão, indicando qual foi a resposta dos atletas.

– Há uma cobrança muito grande, normal pela camisa do São Paulo e pelos anos sem título. Identificamos muita coisa vinda do ano passado, pelo que vivemos, instabilidade e questão de confiança, precisava muito do resultado de qualquer forma, fazia gol e se preocupava em não tomar. Neste ano, há mais confiança, defesa sofrendo muito menos gols, há evolução. É questão mais emocional que estamos tratando, como contra Santos e Mirassol, essa estabilidade que queremos e procuramos manter em todos os jogos.

Vejo o jogo de trás, mas não fiz curso de treinador, não estudo tática. E nem entro no mérito de escalação. Dorival tem convicções e todos estão à disposição para dar o melhor para o São Paulo. Ele conta com quem está melhor e quem entra deve corresponder à altura. Eles têm maior autoridade para ver escalação e modo de jogo do que qualquer atleta aqui dentro.

While a lot of focus was understandably on Jack Grealish’s record-breaking transfer to Manchester City during the previous summer transfer window, Aston Villa also managed to move a number of other players out of the club in the same period.

One player that made a move away from Villa Park last summer was midfielder Conor Hourihane, who joined Championship club Sheffield United on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Having been described as “disgusting” for an altercation he had with Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich back in 2019 by Noel Whelan, the £2.25m-rated midfielder has racked up 151 appearances in total for Villa since arriving from Barnsley back in 2017.

Taking into account his lacklustre season at Bramall Lane and the fact that not only do Villa have a significant number of midfielders already in their squad as well as being linked with a summer transfer move for either Yves Bissouma or Wilfred Ndidi, it would be in everyone’s best interest for Johan Lange to call an end to Hourihane’s time as a Villa player when the current season ends.

While the Midlands club wouldn’t be able to pick up a transfer fee for him as his current contract at Villa is set to expire in the summer, there would presumably be some clubs willing to take him on a free.

Leeds United correspondent Phil Hay has made a ‘worrying’ claim regarding Marcelo Bielsa ahead of the club’s meeting with Manchester United on Sunday.

The Lowdown: Everton woes

The Whites fell to a 3-0 defeat against Everton on Saturday, where everything seemed to go wrong for Bielsa and his side.

A back three was used due to Frank Lampard going with two centre-forwards, however, Robin Koch dropping back into defence left a gaping hole in midfield, with Rodrigo and Mateusz Klich struggling defensively.

Klich was subsequently brought off at the interval for Adam Forshaw and star man Raphinha was also replaced for Tyler Roberts, with Leeds failing to take any positives from Merseyside.

Hay took to Twitter on Monday lunchtime, sharing a link to a story on The Athletic.

Within his post, he said that it was ‘worrying’ that Bielsa got it so wrong on the weekend and the Whites will need to replicate Everton’s performance against them when they face Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

“The most worrying thing about Goodison Park on Saturday was Marcelo Bielsa getting it so wrong in such an important game.

“Everton fought for everything and Goodison appreciated it. Leeds will need to mimic that against Manchester United:”

The Verdict: Return to a back four?

Manchester United had just Cristiano Ronaldo in attack against Brighton on Tuesday, meaning Leeds may well return to a back four against Ralf Rangnick’s side this weekend.

Games against the Red Devils, Liverpool and Tottenham in the space of a week is a tough ask for the Whites though, and after picking up just one point from nine against Newcastle, Aston Villa and Everton, Leeds could do with at least one positive result over the next ten days to lift the mood at Elland Road.

Failing to win any could leave the club in a real relegation battle with the likes of Norwich, Watford and Burnley, making the home fixture against the Canaries on March 12 a possible six pointer.

وأضاف: “اللاعب كان مطلوبًا تصعيده للفريق الأول بقرار من مارسيل كولر، ولكن إصابته بتمزق في السمانة تسبب في عدم تصعيده”.

واختتم: “عبد الرحمن رشدان يحتاج إلى راحة ما بين 4 الي 6 أسابيع للتعافي من الإصابة”.
