According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport Witness, reported Rs target Andreas Skov Olsen will only leave Serie A outfit Bologna if they are handed an offer they can’t refuse.

Speaking to the Italian newspaper, director of football Walter Sabatini said: “If one of Baldursson, Skov Olsen or Svanberg are to leave, it won’t happen on loan, and above all with an offer you can’t refuse.”

It doesn’t bode well for Rangers chances of securing him with the 20-year-old also attracting interest from Europa League quarter-finalists Copenhagen.

A different threat

However, if Wilson can sort out a deal for the Danish phenomenon, then Gerrard would be getting something he’s not currently got at his disposal.

The 6 foot 2 winger hasn’t had the best of seasons but it was only a year ago that he was lighting it up for FC Nordsjælland, where he bagged 26 goals and provided six assists, via Transfermarkt.

It’s no wonder Bologna spent £5.4m on him last summer.

He’s rather skilful for his height and the youngster even models his game on the great Arjen Robben, a stark contrast in style to that of either Ryan Kent or Joe Aribo.

“I met Mihajlovic when I came to visit the Bologna training ground the first time and I made a bet with him that I had a better left foot. My hero is Arjen Robben, but I can play on the right, left or even as a centre-forward.”

If Rangers get half of the talents of the Bayern legend, then they’d be onto a huge winner.

وأردف: “فترة التوقف كانت بالنسبة لنا مهم أن ندخل بها بعد فوز، والأجواء ستكون إيجابية في اتحاد جدة بعد الفوز وخلال فترة التوقف”. 

واختتم: “اتحاد جدة لديه هدف كبير منذ بداية الموسم، سنعمل عليه وإن شاء الله نحقق أهدافنا، وأهدي هدفي اليوم لأبنائي”. 

قال فرج عامر رئيس مجلس إدارة نادي سموحة، إنه في خلال ساعات سيتم الإعلان عن صفقة تاريخية للفريق خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الحالية.

Newcastle are reportedly interested in Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka but he is a transfer target that some fans aren’t keen on.

The troubled midfielder was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy earlier this week after a dispute with fans in the match against Crystal Palace, and The Times report that he will likely request a move away if he is left out of the next few matches.

It is believed the Magpies would seek a short-term deal as that would suit all parties involved, allowing them to pay just a portion of his £100,000-a-week wage, but despite that supporters still aren’t keen.

Some suggest he wouldn’t be an upgrade on what they currently have, comparing him to the likes Isaac Hayden and Jonjo Shelvey.

Interestingly, none raise the point of the bad attitude he displayed against his own fans, and are looking at things merely from a footballing perspective.

وأردف: “رينيه فايلر كان مدربًا عنصريًا، كان يتعامل معي بشكل غير لائق وأنا ليس بيني وبينه شيئًا، وذهبت له وقلت له إنك عنصري”.

وواصل: “أخشى محمد أبو تريكة، عندما ينتقد أو ينفعل لا أستطيع الرد عليه، في أحد معسكرات فرنسا كان يحرص على إيقاظي لأداء صلاة الفجر، كنت الأكثر التزاما في الصلاة والمواعيد بسبب أبو تريكة، ونصحت محمود كهربا بعدم تكرار سيناريو صالح جمعة، وأكدت له أنه سيشعر بالفارق خارج الأهلي ودائمًا أشعره بالخطأ”.

وأردف: “لست حزينًا من أي أحد في مصر إلا عماد متعب، وهذا على قدر حبي له، كنت أنتظر أن يتصل بي بعد رحيلي عن الأهلي ولكنه لم يفعل ذلك وانتقدني، ولو قرر عبد الله جمعة اللعب للأهلي سأدعمه بالتأكيد ولكن حال رحيل علي معلول، دائمًا أقول له إن الأهلي مختلف، استقرار فني وإداري والراتب ستحصل عليه في وقته”. 

وأتم: “هناك أكثر من لاعب في الزمالك يمكنهم اللعب ضمن صفوف الأهلي بسهولة، مثل محمود حمدي الونش وطارق حامد وأحمد زيزو ومصطفى محمد وفرجاني ساسي وغيرهم، كل هؤلاء إمكانياتهم تؤهلهم للعب في الأهلي”.

واختتم جمعة: “رينيه فايلر عدوي، كان يعاملني بشكل سيء، من أول يوم وصل فيه أنا كنت في المنتخب وألعب بشكل أساسي مع الأهلي، ولكن هو كان يستبعدني من كل شيء”.

It’s not a case of now or never just yet, but you do feel that this whole thing has been dragged out quite a lot longer than it perhaps needed to be.

Josh McEachran has been with Birmingham City for several weeks now after initially being taken on trial back in early September, but he finally put pen to paper on a two-year deal at the end of last month.

However, he has yet to be given the opportunity to play for the Blues because of how long the trial lasted.

Pep Clotet has said that he is ‘almost up to speed’ and obviously you don’t want to rush him into things if he isn’t 100% fit, but given the amount of time he’s been with the club, if he isn’t fit by now, you wonder when he will be.

Maybe it’s time to throw caution to the wind somewhat and play him this week, even if it isn’t for the full 90 minutes.

Surely if the club was willing to go through the process of signing him after his trial, you’d want to showcase him at the earliest opportunity.

Now that he’s had the international break to get two weeks of non-stop work with the first-team, it must only be a matter of time before he shows us what he looks like in a Blues shirt.

If you take a look at what he brings to the table, a pass completion rate of 84.4%, and a career-high tackle rate of 2.8 per game, McEachran could prove to be the key part in the game both in keeping the opposition out and moving Birmingham forward.

The midfielder is someone with vast amounts of Championship experience and even some Premier League experience as well so he certainly wouldn’t be out of his depth.

It’s just who he dislodges in the team that’s the real question, particularly after the emergences of Jude Bellingham and Odin Bailey.

This weekend’s game against Leeds is arguably one of Birmingham’s biggest tests so far this season, against a team that some people predicted would be right up there challenging at the top of the table come to the end of the season, and they’re going to need all the help they can get.

Perhaps calling on someone familiar to the division will give them the assistance they need in such a tough fixture.

Fortunately for Blades fans, Henderson says he can’t wait to get back out onto the pitch, and he says he always comes back stronger after something like this blunder on Saturday.

It remains to be seen whether or not Henderson does come back stronger after his hiccup against the Reds, but United fans will be hoping he’s true to his word.
