انتهى الشوط الأول من المباراة، بالتعادل الإيجابي بين الفريقين، بهدفين لمثلهما، الهدف الأول جاء مُبكرًا عبر النجم النرويجي إيرلينج هالاند في الدقيقة الثانية، بأسيست من توماس ديلاني.

وبعدها بسبع دقائق، وفي الدقيقة التاسعة، تمكن هالاند من إحراز الهدف الثاني له ولـ بوروسيا دورتموند.

ورفض النجم البولندي، روبرت ليفاندوفسكي، أنّ يُنهي فريقه الشوط الأول مُتأخرًا في النتيجة، إذ نجح في تقليص الفارق بالدقيقة 26، بالهدف الأول لـ بايرن، وفي الدقيقة 44، سجّل هدف التعادل لأصحاب الأرض من علامة الجزاء.

وفي الشوط الثاني من اللقاء، غادر هالاند ملعب المباراة، بالدقيقة 60 بسبب إصابة قوية من الألماني جيروم بواتينج، الذي غادر كذلك المواجهة بعد 10 دقائق في الدقيقة 70 بعد إصابته كذلك.

ورفض بطل ألمانيا أنّ يتعادل في الكلاسيكو، وتمكن الدولي الألماني ليون جوريتسكا من إحراز الهدف الثالث في الوقت الفاتل بالدقيقة 88، ولم تُمضى ألا دقيقتان وعاد ليفاندوفسكي ليهز شباك الحارس مارفين هيتز بالهدف الرابع لـ بايرن والثالث له “هاتريك” في الدقيقة 90.

انتصار بايرن عزز صدارته للدوري الألماني برصيد 55 نقطة، وبفارق نقطتين عن لايبزيج، بينما توقف رصيد دورتموند عند 39 نقطة بالمركز السادس في سلم ترتيب البوندزليجا.

A number of Liverpool fans have called for their club to make a move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz in next summer’s transfer window.

The 20-year-old was actually linked with a potential switch to Anfield last month.

The Reds have missed the boat this summer with the English transfer window now closed. That said, in theory, Havertz could still leave Leverkusen this month.

It seems unlikely that the Bundesliga giants will sell the three-time Germany international this summer, though, which could spark a scramble next year.

Havertz is already off the mark in the Bundesliga this season, whilst he scored a stunning 20 goals in 42 appearances for Leverkusen during the 2018-19 campaign.

A debate on social media saw a number of Liverpool fans comment on which player they would want their club to sign ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Arsenal’s 2019 summer pre-season tour of the United States ended in defeat.

But still, it was a glorious and dramatic game against Real Madrid that had four goals, two red cards and, finally, a penalty shootout that saw the Gunners leave Washington DC defeated.

It was hardly your stereotypical friendly fixture.

Apart from it being a clash of two big players in European football and a complete anomaly in the context of pre-season friendlies, it was also a reunion of sorts for some of the players.

West Ham United fans have been left gutted after Sky Sports reported that Maxi Gomez would not be joining the Hammers.

The Celta Vigo striker has been a target of the Irons for some time and Football FanCast sources understand that manager Manuel Pellegrini specifically requested the signing of the Uruguay international.

Director of Football Mario Husillos attempted to do a deal but there was a nagging feeling, per those sources, that Gomez wished to remain in Spain.

That has now seemingly been confirmed, with Sky Sports claiming that he will complete a switch to Valencia in the coming days instead of making the move to east London.

The news comes as a significant blow after reports also claimed that Salomon Rondon, who was the subject of a bid from the Irons earlier this summer, would likely be moving to China.

Add to that the fact that Aleksandar Mitrovic, a target at the beginning of the transfer window, has signed a new contract at Fulham and it all adds up to a rather beleaguered picture for Irons fans.

Injuries are just about the worst thing that can happen to a professional footballer in their careers. They’re often unexpected, soul-crushing and require a long time to get over. And unfortunately for Nathaniel Chalobah, that has happened far more often than he could have imagined.

The Watford midfielder was considered one of Chelsea’s brightest young prospects but has seen his career blighted by injuries and setbacks, and suffered a horrific knee injury at the start of the 2017/2018 campaign that saw his season virtually wiped out entirely.

But after making his return to football this campaign, the 24-year-old took to

The response was understandably met with a wave of strong supportive messages, including from his club captain Troy Deeney, who urged him to keep working hard.

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, who was teammates with Chalobah during their days at Stamford Bridge, also sent his love to the England international.

The likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Pedro Obiang and Marco van Ginkel amongst others added to the wave of feel-good messages sent Chalobah’s way.

Crystal Palace played out a classic end-to-end thriller with Cardiff at the weekend, with the Eagles’ three goals relegating their hosts and thus ensuring bitter rivals Brighton survived the drop.

There were a number of key talking points, including Jordan Ayew’s solid all-round performance, Wilfried Zaha’s vintage wing magic and another Andros Townsend rifle, while Vicente Guaita’s stoic display between the sticks was a highlight.

The Spaniard kept the Bluebirds at bay with some fine, reflex stops from close range although these have been typical of his showings since ousting Wayne Hennessey from the starting XI. What the former Getafe man has struggled with, though, is coming for crosses – the shot-stopper’s blunder against Watford saw Etienne Capoue fire the hosts ahead and he continued to flap at balls into the box throughout.

However, this was far from the case at the Principality Stadium on Saturday, with the 32-year-old assured and strong when Neil Warnock’s side looked to test him with long balls and corners.

The goalkeeper has made some big improvements in this area of his game since his howler versus Watford and, aside perhaps from the lack of communication with Martin Kelly for Cardiff’s equaliser, his decision-making has been far, far better. Now, he looks like being the Eagles’ best custodian in years.
